Pack light, travel far: the one-bag checklist
A weekend or a week, a well-packed 22L bag handles both. Here's exactly what goes in and what stays home.
One bag, zero baggage fees
The secret to traveling light isn't a smaller bag, it's a packing list you actually trust. A 22L pack is the sweet spot: big enough for a week with smart choices, small enough to live under the seat.
The checklist
- Clothing, 3 tees, 1 hoodie, 1 pair of joggers, 5 days of basics. Everything in the same color family so it all mixes.
- Carry, a pack with a suspended laptop sleeve and a quick-stash top pocket. Your passport and earbuds should never be more than one zip away.
- Hydration, an insulated bottle filled after security. Airport prices are a tax on the unprepared.
What to leave behind
Just-in-case items. If you can't name the specific situation it's for, it doesn't make the bag. Almost everywhere on earth sells toothpaste.
The repack rule
Pack your bag the night before, then unpack it once and remove one thing. You'll never miss it.
